Documentation: Helping you discover SOMM

If there is one thing that Sliceofmymind.com is majority lacking, it is documentation. For a lot of people, voicing your opinions through our forums, commenting and other simple things are rather self explanatory. It is when we introduce features like the SOMM Opinion Habitat where you have to fill in fields like Tags, Keywords and Meta Descriptions, that's where things become more complex.

Some members have experience in writing for the web while others do not. So I have made it my goal to write guides to help fill in the blanks for all areas and features of Sliceofmymind.com. The SOMM Help section you see now will be replaced with a brand new system that will place the guides that I'm writing at your fingertips.

I was going to wait until after SOMM 1.8 Stable was finished, but as that saying goes, "Why put off tomorrow, what you can do today". Each feature/section of Sliceofmymind.com will have its own documentation area in the new SOMM Help section. In addition (if applicable), I will include a FAQ for each feature/section, so before you contact us with a problem/question, it might already be answered.

It is my hope that with these guides, regardless of whether you're a newbie on Sliceofmymind.com or a veteran, that these guides and SOMM Help in general can help you get the most out of your time on Sliceofmymind.com as well as discover features and functionality that you've never knew existed or couldn't figure out on your own.  SOMM Help 2.0 will be available within a few weeks.
