There goes your Android fragmentation argument, Apple fans

Posted by on in Gadget Wars

For years, Apple zealots have covered the Internet with the Android fragmentation argument and yet fragmentation has come to Apple's walled garden with the release of two new iDevices, iPad Mini and iPad 4. iOS developers now have to develop apps for several different active SKU's in the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 4th Gen, iPod Touch 5th Gen, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad Mini and finally iPad 4. You guys no longer have that ammo.

Top Three Reasons why Unlimited Mobile Data is here to stay

Posted by on in Mobile

Whether the bigwigs at Verizon and AT&T like it or not, Unlimited Mobile Data is here to stay. Verizon and AT&T will argue that the majority of their customers don't use a lot of data, so they have no need for an unlimited data plan. I call B.S. on that. Here are my Top Three reasons why Unlimited Mobile Data is here to stay.

Patent Lawsuit Nonsense

Posted by on in Gadget Wars

For months now I tried to stay clear of writing anything involving patent litigation, especially the Apple vs. Samsung case. Software patent lawsuits serve nothing but to prevent innovation amongst competitors and therefore harms consumer choice.

Team USA wins gold (Basketball)

Posted by on in U.S.
While Team USA isn't the Dream Team, they proved yet again of why they are a force to be reckoning with. Spain played the USA well for the majority of the game, keeping it the score close until halfway through the 4th quarter. But then James & Co. went on a feeding frenzy that put Spain away.

For more information about the game, go here http://msn.foxsports.com/olympics/basketball/story/team-usa-defeats-spain-for-gold-medal-in-mens-basketball-london-olympics-lebron-james-kobe-bryant-081212

Apple iPad Gone Bad

Posted by on in Electronics

It's not often when I have a problem with one of my Apple iDevices (yes, I do own a few), but today I realize the Home button on my iPad 2 64GB isn't recognizing my inputs. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to be annoying. What am I to do?

Apple Inc and its iPad's reign over the tablet market may soon end. There is no need to spend upwards of $900 for a “premium” tablet experience; the Google Nexus 7 is here and with its arrival comes a tidal wave of change.

Why an iPad Mini would kill the Apple iPod

Posted by on in Tech Rumors

Forget the slumping sales of the iPod for a moment and let's think rationally. The rumors of an iPad Mini can be found on all corners of the web, but none of the articles take into account the iPod series and how an iPad Mini could possibly decimate the iconic iDevice.

Wells Fargo, you're going to lose me

Posted by on in General

I was a very happy customer of Wachovia Bank before the Wells Fargo acquisition of the company but since the purchase, things have gone downhill. Wachovia did everything possible to satisfy my banking needs. Wells Fargo, on the other hand, is complete opposite of what Wachovia stood for. So when it came to using the last 468 reward points in my account, it didn't surprise me when a Wells Fargo agent told me there was nothing they could do.

Question: Slow but Unlimited or Fast Capped Wireless Data

Posted by on in Mobile

You can’t watch television without viewing a commercial for Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T or Sprint. In these commercials, the carriers often boast about having the fastest wireless network or unlimited data in the case of Sprint. This got me thinking, which would you choose, slow unlimited data with no throttling or the fastest speed you can get but with a data cap?

Apple to advertise Samsung products

Posted by on in Tech News

For the first time, Apple Inc may have bitten off a bit more than it could chew with its ongoing patent warfare. Apple was ordered by British Judge Colin Birss, to essentially, advertise Samsung’s Galaxy tablets.

Peaceful Transformation

Posted by on in Life Experiences

Everyone has something that they use to help clear their mind. Whether it be a place where they find tranquility, someone who without saying a word can change their mood for the better, driving a car at one-hundred fifty miles per hour down a crowded highway.. Or one may even have all three.

What Lurks Beyond

Posted by on in Life Experiences

I don't know what I see when I look inside and I'm not sure I want to. For what lurks beyond the outer layers on my mind is far too.... Questionable, to say the least. When words flow off the tip of a pen as they do mine, who knows what's being written. When does the writer even have control of it's mind? I do believe that there are many things I have yet to encounter within myself, but only because I'm afraid of what may happen when I do so. I love myself for who I am and I know that I better the lives of those around me by doing all that is possible to help when I am needed. I know that what I'm capable of as a person is being limited by my selflessness, but I'm not sure I'm ready to fully unlock whatever may be on the other side of the walls I've created for myself.

Love, and the New York Housing Market

Posted by on in Life Experiences

Ah, love at first sight. Blood pumping, heart swelling, mind melting love at first sight. The door opens, the delicately toxic scent of fresh paint wafts forward. Take a few steps in, eyes widen, mouth waters. Ode to hardwood floors and wide windows, to new appliances and a renovated full bath. Intercom system? Fastened neatly on the wall. Walk in closet, you slay me. Heat and hot water? You bet they’re included.

Rodney King, dies at 47

Posted by on in U.S.

Through his beating that one early Sunday morning by LAPD officers in 1991, Rodney King was thrusted into society's consciousness, forcing change throughout America’s Police departments. Even though his name became synonymous with Police brutality, he rebutted the civil rights responsibilities placed upon him through a single sentence that we all should get along.

What women will do for love

I’ll say this up front; most men take women for granted. The constant little things women do are often overlooked and yet they still continue to do them. The question is why?

It seems AT&T and its top brass can’t stop complaining. AT&T complained when mobile market players like Sprint as well as the government (DOJ) went against its attempted acquisition of T-Mobile here in the states. They didn’t want to see it in the light we all saw it as, a potential duopoly between Verizon and AT&T. Now, AT&T’s chief executive regrets giving iPhone users unlimited data because it cost them too much.
