Unsure how to start earning SOMM Points? Here are several ways to start earning points right now.

  • Log into your SOMM account every day. Earns you 25 SOMM Points each time.
  • Post comments on SOMM Blog posts, articles, photos, videos and etc. You earn 15 SOMM Points per comment.
  • Create or respond to a SOMM Forum thread. You get 15 SOMM Points for starting a forum thread and 6 SOMM Points for replying to a forum thread. (Well thought-out and grammatically correct forum posts longer than one paragraph qualify for Bonus SOMM Points). Your forum post must be more than 150 characters to qualify for SOMM Points.
  • Place a vote in a SOMM Poll which earns you one SOMM Point.
  • Refer a friend(s) to SOMM, have them register for an account successfully and earn up to 65 SOMM Points per referral.
  • Write an article and post it in the SOMM Opinion Habitat, earn up to 500 SOMM Points per approved article. (Tip: Tutorials, How-To’s and other instructional type articles yield the most SOMM Points once approved. These types of articles qualify for Bonus SOMM Points up to 1000!)
  • Post a new high score or a personal best in the SOMM Arcade, earn up to 100 SOMM Points.
  • Exchange your SOMM Points (SP) into Gaming Points (GP) in the SOMM Casino Banker. Wager the GP in SOMM Casino games, win big and then exchange your winnings back into SOMM Points.

There are other ways to earn SOMM Points, including Bonus SOMM Points. Again, posting articles in the SOMM Opinion Habitat directory have the best chances of receiving Bonus SOMM Points (up to 1000 SOMM Points!), especially if they are well researched and grammatically correct tutorials.
