When will people simply give Nintendo a break. From the launch of the Nintendo Wii, many predicted its downfall without playing it (some still predict it will die down and become shovelware) and now that Nintendo is the worldwide leader in consoles, those same gamers that predicted the Wii's downfall are claiming Nintendo is ignoring the hardcore gamers.
You know what? Nintendo is doing Nintendo, like they have been doing for years. Even in the days of the NES/SNES and Sega had the Genesis, people claimed Nintendo was too kid friendly where the Sega Genesis was for the older crowd. Nintendo has evolved slightly over the years and most of their games are tried and true, but that is why we love them.
Nintendo makes games for the inner child in us all; great gameplay with pleasing graphics. Nintendo makes games for everyone and that hasn't changed, but now since Nintendo is the leader, everyone wants them to change. Screw that, I love Nintendo for their innovative and fun-filled games.
Who said that hardcore gamers only cared about HD graphics and tons of gore? Pick up any Nintendo made game and tell me you don't have a smile on your face when you play.
I have room in my spare time to enjoy all of the games for all consoles and handhelds. I'm looking for unique experiences as well as more of the same. Don't get angry because Nintendo's creative minds finally outshine the people at Sony and Microsoft.
My gaming habits are Xbox 360 first follow by Nintendo Wii in close second. My PS3 got a workout from MGS 4 and now I'm onto new games.
You all always knew that Nintendo made games for all and not just for one core audience. Give me a break with all that talk of them ignoring the hardcore. Real hardcore gamers are enjoying all the games from Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony while laughing at fools that can't comprehend basic gaming history.
